imagePittsburgh has been “Hometown to Horror” since George A. Romero’s 1968 classic “Night of the Living Dead” was filmed in nearby Evans City.

With recognition from the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry for “Night of the Living Dead,” it’s no wonder that countless imitators and aspiring Horror filmmakers have cropped up in Pittsburgh and around the rest of the world ever since.

With Tom Savini’s special effects makeup school taking over the show “Face Off” and once again showing that Pittsburgh is King of the Horror scene, here is your chance to submit your screenplay and get it in front of some of the biggest Horror producers and thinkers in the country.

You can enter your screenplay at Screencraft.org or via Screencraft’s Facebook page.

The contest has a 1st Place Grand Prize of $1,500 cash for your film, a phone call with a top Hollywood manager or agent, and an introduction to top development executives, producers, and filmmakers.

2nd Place is $500 cash and a phone call with a top literary manager.

The top 5 finalists will receive free development notes from a professional Hollywood Script Reader and a one year license to use WriterDuetPro.

The Final Deadline is July 1st, 2016.
For a list of the judges, to submit your work, and for more information, visit www.screencraft.org.
