Corrine Jasmin is a writer and artist currently based in Pittsburgh, PA. Through spoken word poetry, she is able to captivate her audience and take them on a journey. She is also a photographer and visual artist. During Black History Month, Jasmin held an artist talk through Carnegie Library. Her engaging photography was showcased at both main and downtown locations. Her storytelling through photography is powerful–reflecting on culture, life and the impact art has on the world around us. Her work–photography, poetry, film making– explores both youth and African-American culture, activism, and unconventional beauty.

Jasmin is currently working on video projects for installation, poetry performances, and planning the second Culture Groove, an event showcasing local artists of color.
