These are just some of the things going on this weekend in Pittsburgh…
This Saturday is the fifth annual Oysterfest held in Homestead under the bridge. Jerry Miller, the owner of the Blue Dust, began this annual event after a conversation and a few beers (well maybe more than a few) with the team from Rogue beer out of Oregon. The event is rain or shine 1pm-10pm under the Homestead Grays Bridge. The three bands that will be playing throughout the day are House of Soul, The Cheerly Men and INCO FIDO. Activities will include Axe Throwing and, of course, enjoying adult beverages. These adult beverages include craft cocktails provided by Wigle Whiskey. In addition to oysters, there will be six food trucks. OysterFest is cash only and admission is free. Tickets for beers, oysters, and cocktails are $6 each. This is dog-friendly!
After you enjoy your oysters, cross the river because Saturday night in Braddock, the doo wop band, Wee Jams, will be playing at Portogallo Peppers N’At. This local spot know for big plates of food, bocce and live music has played a big part in the revitalization of this steel town on the river. The band starts at 8pm.

This weekend in Regent Square, 3 Rivers Outdoor Company will be having their opening. A great fit for this active community they will be selling quality equipment for hiking, biking, climbing, backpacking, camping, paddling, SUP, and trail running from top outfitters. Setting themselves apart from other outfitters they will also be selling on consignment gently used equipment as well as renting equipment for outdoor activities. On Sunday between Noon and 5pm, stop by and grab a hot dog from D’s Six Pax and Dogz new food truck! After much anticipation this Pittsburgh food staple, D’s Six Pax, has entered the ever growing market of mobile kitchens.
