Meat & Potatoes

Spring has officially begun and, although some dreary days still linger in Pittsburgh, clear skies and picnic weather are just around the corner.

To welcome the much anticipated season, Meat & Potatoes is bringing some new life into their already impressive menu with the addition of Spring cocktails, and the return of Al Fresco Dining and the Night Cap Menu.

Chef and creator of this elevated gastropub, Richard DeShantz, is making sure your night time cravings get what they deserve. The Night Cap late-night series has returned and brings with it a variety of new menu items that are fast, fresh, and reasonable.

Every Monday from 10pm-1am, drop by Meat & potatoes for live DJ sets and a menu offering $5 burgers like the Asian: a burger which consists of a pork & shrimp patty, soy glaze, pickled carrots, cilantro, jalapenos, and seaweed mayo. Or, if you’re feeling something more traditional, try their BBQ burger topped with brisket, BBQ sauce, cheddar, and coleslaw. And don’t forget about the weekly rotating hot dog and $3 sides which, in the past, have been known to include tasty options like fried green tomatoes stuffed with pimento cheese and cajun remoulade.

And be sure to enjoy all your late night treats on the restaurant’s outdoor patio which is now officially open for the season.

Meat & Potatoes has also recently launched their Spring cocktail menu, a collection of drinks that are made using seasonal ingredients and spirits. For the whiskey lovers amongst you, reach for the Diamondback which features Bulleit rye, apple brandy and yellow chartreuse. The menu also features the Mexican Honey bee; espolón reposado, lemon, smoked local honey and mezcal rinse; and the Root to Berry with Belvedere vodka, strawberry-hibiscus syrup, ginger, lime and seltzer.
