Pitt Dance Marathon
Saturday, April 9
Every year, students at the University of Pittsburgh come together to form dance teams for the Pitt Dance Marathon; an event that raises money for the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and gives the kids a chance to share their stories with the community. This 16 hour long event runs from 8am to midnight and is open to the Pittsburgh public. Stop in and watch the teams perform their dances or head over to one of the many activities including lawn and carnival games, a lip sync battle, food trucks, a hypnotist, live bands, and a techno hour.
Pittsburgh Superhero Run
Put all that energy into a good cause by becoming a superhero for the children of Pittsburgh. This unorthodox and cape clad run benefits CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Allegheny County, who recruit, train and supervise volunteer advocates standing up for the abused and neglected children in our community. The Pittsburgh Superhero run invites you to walk or run either a 1k or 5k all while dressed in your best superhero ensemble. To find out more about how you can be a hero all year round visit pgh-casa.org.
