Pitt Dance Marathon
Saturday, April 9

Every year, students at the University of Pittsburgh come together to form dance teams for the Pitt Dance Marathon; an event that raises money for the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and gives the kids a chance to share their stories with the community. This 16 hour long event runs from 8am to midnight and is open to the Pittsburgh public. Stop in and watch the teams perform their dances or head over to one of the many activities including lawn and carnival games, a lip sync battle, food trucks, a hypnotist, live bands, and a techno hour.

Pittsburgh Superhero Run

Put all that energy into a good cause by becoming a superhero for the children of Pittsburgh. This unorthodox and cape clad run benefits CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Allegheny County, who recruit, train and supervise volunteer advocates standing up for the abused and neglected children in our community. The Pittsburgh Superhero run invites you to walk or run either a 1k or 5k all while dressed in your best superhero ensemble. The most colorful event of the year has returned in all its infinite glory. The Color Vibe 5k will begin at the Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills at 8am and have 4 Color Zones along the way where runners will be doused with different vibrant colored powders. So get ready to climb, jump, and crawl your way through this 3.1 mile obstacle course and get filthy while doing it. Whether you’re a pro-athlete, a couch potato, or simply looking for some weekend fun, Dirty Girl Mud Run is an event suited for all body shapes and sizes.
