7113 Reynolds Street has always been a gathering space for Pittsburghers for over a hundred years in one form or another. Currently, event venue PointBreezeway holds down the address that was once a tavern, speakeasy, tea room, confectionary, and the original Frick Park Market. Known for their private event space, mainly hosting baby and bridal showers, weddings, rehearsal dinners, and business meetings, PointBreezeway looks to bring the  Pittsburgh community together by hosting concerts on Sundays, as often as the can. The 2019 series is in the works and PointBreezeway is planning something quite special.

PointBreezeway has partnered with James Street Promotions to help find local Jazz, Blues, and Signer Songwriter artists to perform live at the private event space. At the moment, PointBreezeway is looking to book mainly solo artists and duos and has already featured shows by Scott and Roseanna, Benny Benack, Don Aliquo, and the Boiler Makers to name a few. “Although we’re not a music venue, PointBreezeway transforms into an intimate listening room. Spaces like ours, both for concerts and events, are a rare find.” said owner Lauren McMillen

While the event space and music are two crucial components to the novel atmosphere, PointBreezeway prides itself on its homelike environment. McMillen said the vision of PointBreezeway is “preserving the history of a centuries old neighborhood gathering space, which happens to be our family home, opening the door with true hospitality, to events and local musicians.” There is no place like PointBreezeway, a truly unique way to host concerts in an intimate nature.

PointBreezeway sticks to their homelike environment morals by providing its clients with free refreshments (Both hard and soft). Customers are also encouraged to bring their own refreshments such as a meat and cheese tray to share with the community, PointBreezeway is also a BYOB establishment. The cozy and welcoming space at PointBreezeway is absolutely the best way to celebrate a community coming together as one.
