Many locals know Arielle Evans and Ryan Coon as the communications staff from the Sprout Fund. The two have eloquently helped to guide quite a few of us through the process of marketing a grant funded project, or telling the story of our socially engaged work within the city. However, lucky for all of us, these two have teamed up to start their own communications firm, known as Root + All.
Now you can tap into their creative expertise, even if you don’t have a project with Sprout. And what makes this even more remarkable is that Root + All is identified as a PA Benefit Company, which essentially means that their mission is to advance the mission of non-profits.
When I met up with Arielle and Ryan at Mixtape in Garfield, they talked with me about the importance of partnerships, and how overwhelming supportive the Pittsburgh community has been in their transition. They’re already grooving with a close to full list of clients!
What Root + All offers are new ways for organizations to interpret, translate, and tell their stories. From hyperlocal orgs to larger institutions, they can navigate you through the best approach. Hiring Arielle and Ryan is a great way for an organization to see quick gains while designing a well-oiled communications machine, which can then be maintained. “We’re not a hammer looking for nails,” said Ryan, as he talked about individualized systems design, campaign launching, and storytelling. Arielle followed by telling me, “Right now we’re jamming on the opportunity to tell stories of people. It’s not about programs, everyone has programs. It’s about the people in the programs and the effect of those programs on people and the community.”
If you’re looking to create a presence for your organization, conquer a communications challenge, or push out some fresh content, these are your folks. You can find them at rootandall.com
