The Business of Clay is a networking event lead by Pittsburgh based ceramic professionals, Jowdy Studios, Ton Pottery, and Stak Ceramics. Jowdy Studios – https://www.jowdystudio.com/
Andrew Jowdy Collins (AJ) uses porcelain and an original palette of matte glazes to handcraft one-of-a-kind ceramics that enliven interiors. From marbled bowls to mid-century urns, all pieces explore a tension between line and form, as well as art and function, and are handmade by AJ from start to finish at his studio in Pittsburgh, PA.

Ton Pottery – https://www.tonpottery.com/
Daniel Kuhn grew up in the Allegheny Valley and studied at California University of Pennsylvania for his undergraduate degree and Indiana University of Pennsylvania for his MFA. He has worked as a teacher and technician at Wortendyke Studio, Chautauqua School of Art, Society for Contemporary Crafts, Touchstone Center for Crafts and Community College of Allegheny County. Daniel is the owner of Ton Pottery in the Millvale section of Pittsburgh, PA, a teaching facility and retail space dedicated to
the Ceramics Arts.

Aasta Deth received a BFA in studio art from University of Buffalo SUNY and an MFA in Sculpture from Indiana University of PA.
