Yes, can you believe it? Goodlander Cocktail Brewery is the first-of-its-kind cocktail brewery tucked away in the Larimer neighborhood of Pittsburgh! The owner Wes Shonk, opened the cocktail brewery in May of 2021 and their on-tap cocktails are shockingly delicious. Step inside and you’ll feel the familiar vibes of a brewery minus the grain and hops.

Goodlander is a casual atmosphere with pops of color, tons of greenery, and a friendly bartender serving up casual drinks. Don’t expect any flair here. No edible flowers, fancy garnishes, or custom ice cubes. Sure, they aren’t the most picturesque or Insta-worthy… but don’t be fooled, these drinks are packed with flavor and go down easy! All of their cocktails are made with gin, rum, or vodka and all additional ingredients are made in-house. Their production room is home to lemons, limes, cucumbers, and more. You name it… and their team is juicing it! The brewery team is hands-on from start to finish and zests, mixes, filters, and carbonates the cocktails themselves before putting them into kegs or growlers. And it really shows… all of the drinks are fresh and very flavorful.

An ode to Snoop Dogg, the Gin, and Juice, offers a mix of lime, grapefruit, orange, and passionfruit that was really tasty with a lot of fruity flavors. It took me away from the Pittsburgh winter for just a second. Another one will have you booking a flight! The bartender’s recommendation, the Rum, and Tonic gave off a similar tropical taste with rum instead of gin. Don’t worry, not every cocktail on the menu is fruity, they have classics like mojitos and Moscow mules alongside other specialties like the Eastside which is a gin drink with a hint of cucumber, lime, and mint. Best part? You can sip on a few in their space or take them to go. They offer 16 or 32-ounce growlers to fill, swap, and try them all!

Swing by Goodlander on Friday or Saturday to have one for yourself! You can also find them around town on tap at several breweries and restaurants… so keep your eyes open! If you’re in the mood for something small and low-key but are still in the mood for a cocktail that packs a punch, hit up Goodlander. Good people. Good Drinks.
