Pittsburgh talked and The Standard listened. The Standard Market and Pint House is coming to downtown Pittsburgh and its unique concept is something this city has been craving. This newly renovated space is your one-stop shop throughout your entire day. From grabbing an early morning coffee to calling your late-night uber and a whole lot in between.
Found along Penn Ave, this new eatery will offer all the bells and whistles filling the needs of both locals and tourists. Early weekday mornings, head to the market for grab and go options like freshly brewed coffee brewed by local roasting company, Iron Star. Fresh pressed juice, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, and French toast will all be options along with other fresh bites to look forward to. Take your order to your office or get comfortable at an available table tucked inside this inventive workspace. Whether you choose this time to catch up on computer work or take a minute for yourself. Either way, starting at The Standard will be your favorite way to begin your day.
Once lunchtime rolls around, the space seamlessly transitions into a two-story pint house. A place to grab lunch with colleagues and dare I say it, enjoy a craft beer from the pour your own taps wall. This user-friendly system will offer 45 beers from local breweries, rosé, wine, and seasonal cocktails. If lunch is too early to start sipping on a libation, take advantage of the tap wall or full bar (which also offers Growlers and Crowlers to go) during happy hour and dinner.
The Standard’s whole lunch and dinner menu is full of nutritious and fulfilling options created with locally sourced ingredients. Expect options like the Power Up Bowl featuring kale, pea shoots, Medjool dates, blueberries, Grana Padano cheese, and a charred lemon vinaigrette. Or the Disheveled Sweet Potato topped with Irish herb butter, cranberry, hazelnut, lime aioli, and chives. A number of bowls from ramen to tofu will also be available. The Chicken BBQ Ranch is bound to be a fan favorite with ingredients like smoked chicken, black quinoa, broccoli, charred corn, carrots, pickled jalapeño, cilantro, avocado ranch, and bourbon BBQ.
The Standard doesn’t stop there. The back of the house is home to the Arcade. Complete with classic games like billiard tables, shuffleboard, Pac Man, and darts, just to name a few. The Arcade extends its pool tables into a separate room perfect for an alternative event space. Host work meetings, parties, or private dinners while having the flexibility of creating a personalized layout to fit any special event. This additional room can hold up to 25 guests.
