Pose 1
Virabhadrasana 2 – Warrior II
Behind warrior pose is a fearlessness like no other. With a strong gaze, stable and strong legs and arms stretched wide, it’s a stance that will make you rawr.
Pose 2
Trikonasana – Triangle Pose
One person’s version of the pose will differ from another’s, but no matter how to do it, it still feels ooey-gooey and stretchy. Reaching to the sky and grounding down through the legs is the ultimate definition of facing fear.
Pose 3
Urdvha Mukha Svanasana – Upward Facing Dog
Trusting in the strength of the arms and reaching the chest through the shoulders is an ideal way to begin opening the heart to new experiences. It’s the beginning of looking fear straight in the eye and saying “it’s time to take a deeper look.”
It’s all about balance in tree pose. With the discomfort of stepping outside of our comfort zones, it’s important to maintain harmony alongside. As you commence your fearless journey, find relief from your favorite people, hobbies and food while simultaneously tackling fear head on.
Backbends can be extremely fearful for most people. So, what are you waiting for? Lift up and fall back and know that in camel pose, you have someone to lean on: yourself.
