* Fri-Sun. Sept. 9-11. Mellon Park (1047 Shady Ave. in Shadyside) is the site for the annual Craftsmen’s Guild of Pittsburgh’s A Fair in the Park featuring 87 artists representing fiber, ceramics, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, wood, glass and traditional 2D. Full artist listing is here.

* Fri. Sept. 23, 5:30-10 p.m. Pittsburgh Cultural Trust sponsors the Fall Downtown Gallery Crawl with Pittsburgh Paints Pop-Up, local photo exhibits, live music at The Backyard, silent disco (10 p.m.-midnight).

IN ADDITION to the 58th Carnegie International opening Sept. 24 at CMOA in Oakland (see below), the similarly global-themed Carnegie Goes International runs Sept. 17-Oct. 1 at Double Dog Studios, 317 Second Ave. in Carnegie, PA.
