But it’s important to remember that this time of the year can often be the most difficult for those not as fortunate as others. So start off the holiday season right by lending a hand to those in your community who need it most. For almost 30 years, Project Bundle Up has been providing outerwear for disadvantaged children and seniors throughout Western Pennsylvania. Each year, over 5,800 individuals benefit from this organization’s efforts. But Project Bundle Up still struggles to bring warm coats to all of those in need. With a plethora of volunteer and donation options on their website, Project Bundle Up is one of the easiest ways to help your community this season.

Jubilee opened their doors in 1979 and has been a vital community program ever since. The kitchen is open 365 days a year and is always in need of volunteers to help prepare hot meals. If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity that will help you get out of the house this Winter, look no further than Snow Angels. This program is open to anyone living in Allegheny County who wants to assist elderly and disabled individuals with snow removal. Something as minimal as one cleared sidewalk during the icy Winter months can make a world of difference for those who are unable to do the snow removal on their own.
