Moe’s Joins Local Non-Profit to Give Back to Pittsburgh Youth

Pittsburgh has become a mecca for non-profits and startups over the last few decades. But despite this growth, our region is still home to a large homeless population, 3,000 of which are comprised children under the age of 18.

In an effort to lend a helping hand to the community,Moe’s Southwest Grill and Beverley’s Birthdays; a non-profit organization that provides birthday parties for homeless children in the Pittsburgh area, have joined forces to give these children a reason to celebrate what should be a kid’s happiest day of the year.

“We have always believed that it is our responsibility as a brand to give back to the communities we serve,” said Mike Geiger, a local Moe’s franchisee. “We couldn’t be happier to establish this relationship with an organization that has such a joyful mission that resonates so well with our core audience of Pittsburgh families.

Megs Yunn, founder of Beverly’s Birthdays says, “Our organization is thrilled to partner with our local Moe’s locations to create special birthday memories for the children we serve. The generosity the Moe’s team exudes makes them true ‘Champions of Cheer’ and we are so excited to work with them in 2016… one burrito at a time!”

Pittsburgh locations will be providing a free party to a child in need for every party that is purchased. These community events have the potential to not only give a smile and full stomach to a child but also a beacon of hope to the city of Pittsburgh. Moe’s expects to donate over 2,000 parties to the children of Pittsburgh. Visit their website for more information on how you can help.
