At one end of the thoroughfare, you can listen to DJs Trobe Hypnotik and Bamboo spin tunes out of the Red Bull tent. Head over to the opposite side to see performances by bands including Jane West, Alz, Rachel B, Abstract Theory and The Flow Band. In between, there’ll be stilt walkers, breakdancers and other roving acts.
Pittsburgh Brewing Company is supplying the beer, with all profits going to the party’s host, the Mount Washington Community Development Corporation (MWCDC),
This is the third year the nonprofit has held the event to raise funds to support its mission of engaging the community, promoting development and providing business opportunities in Mount Washington and Duquesne Heights.
This month’s fiesta, held rain or shine, is expected to draw more than 3,000 attendees and raise thousands of dollars for the MWCDC. Adult admission $10 pre-sale and $15 the day of the event. Mount Washington residents will receive a $5 discount with code 15211. Family friendly entertainment and activities will be hosted until 6:30 p.m. and admission is free for children.
