2nd Annual Strip District Music Fest raises the bar for events to come

Pittsburgh has always been know for its diversity in musical talent and housing great artists. So it came as no surprise when hundreds of people migrated to the Strip as the 2nd Annual Strip District Music Festival commenced on Saturday, the 16th. The festival drew in over 150 bands,  9 Comedians, and 6 individual live painters.

Crowds of people perused through the markets of Penn Avenue while getting to experience what this festival had to offer. The acts simultaneously performed throughout places such as The Altar Bar, Gaucho, Lidia’s, and 21st Street Coffee. Some featured acts included Take A Breath, Tairey Perez, Rachel B., DJ Afterthought, Shannon Norman, John Dick Winters, Jake Steele, and Tim Ross. The festival is presented by Pittsburgh City Paper & Pabst Blue Ribbon. Some Sponsors include UPMC Health Plan, Ticketfly, Guardian Storage, Red Bull, and Tito’s Vodka.
