On Friday, April 13, the successful Open Mic Night Series at The Abbey on Butler Street, hosted by Corrine Jasmin, will bring another night of welcoming live entertainment from Pittsburgh creatives. This is the fifth Open Mic Night for the monthly event.
Last month’s Open Mic featured poet Grits Capone and comedian Tyler Ray Kendrick. Friday’s event will feature artist Big BEE.
Big BEE’s motto is:
“BIG BEE IS UNIVERSAL
HE HAS NO AGE
NO ORIGIN
HE IS!“
This is a night for all comedians, rappers, singers, poets, musicians and more to share their talent on a stage with a great atmosphere. The Abbey’s coffeehouse sets a non-judgment vibe, letting those express themselves.
The first 15 signed-in performers will receive one free drink ticket. Those in attendance may order the Open Mic happy hour in the Coffeehouse, which includes $2 off all alcoholic beverages, $1 off craft Coffeehouse beverages, and $2 off wraps and paninis.
Sign-ups start at 8:30 p.m. The show begins at 9 p.m. The event is free to the public.
