Since 1991, founding father of Pittsburgh Musical Theater, Ken Gargaro and his wife, Jane have produced a heartwarming rendition of “A Christmas Carol”, the classic novel published by Charles Dickens in 1843. The story follows ornery businessman, Ebenezer Scrooge through his transformation from holiday hell spawn to host of happy.
Gargaro’s adaptation, “A Lyrical Christmas Carol”, tows the same story line, with some musical deviations, of course. On tap for the evening, classical stylings of Bach, Vaughn Williams, and Mozart will intertwine seamlessly with Tiny Tim, the Cratchits, and those pesky ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.
The bellowing persona that is Brady David Pasty will reprise Scrooge, and Earl Grey will become the ghost of Christmas Present.
