Sewickley Arts & Music Festival, Friday, September 27, 5 pm – 10 pm, Board Street, Sewickley. Five bands, including Pittsburgh’s ultimate Earth, Wind and Fire tribute band, Let’s Groove Tonight (pictured here) will get folks dancing in the streets. The Coop Chicken and Waffles, Evil Swine BBQ and 5 other food trucks will keep festival goers well fed. Wine and beer will also be available for purchase.
Maized & Confused at Freedom Farms, Saturday, September 28, 3 pm – 8 pm, 434 Overbrook Road, Valencia. Fall fun, corn and sunflower mazes, hayrides, etc. are not just for kids. Get in touch with your inner child at this 21+ fall festival where you can travel through a corn and sunflower maze in search of 15 hidden alcohol vendors, including Eleventh Hour Brewing, North Country Brewing Co., and Wigle Whiskey. Hayrides, an event t-shirt, drinking glass, live music and 4 oz. alcohol samples are all part of the $35 ticket price.
OktoberQuest Northside Bicycle and Brewery Tour, Saturday, September 28, 1 pm – 5 pm. Enjoy a fall bike ride through the historic Northside and samples from each of the participating locations:
Allegheny City Brewing; Bier’s Pub; Penn Brewery; Spring Hill Brewing; and Threadbare Cider House. Tickets are $30 and include the ride, a t-shirt, mug and two samples at each stop.
Historic Deuthschtown House Tour, Sunday, September 29, 11 am – 4 pm. This self-guided tour is only offered every 2 to 3 years, so take advantage of this opportunity too see someof the beautiful historic homes and gardens in this Northside neighborhood. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door. Check in is located at the garden, across from The Priory at 600 Lockhart Street.
RADical Day at Contemporary Craft, Saturday, September 28, 10 am – 5 pm, 2100 Smallman Street. Get free admission to Contemporary Craft on Saturday as part of the city-wide RADical Days (Allegheny Regional Asset District) which provides free admission to various museums and cultural venues/events through October 13. Check out the remaining schedule of venues and free admission dates on the RADical Days website. In addition, take advantage of this opportunity at the Contemporary Craft for one last peek at their Produce Terminal location in the Strip District before they move to their new space in Lawrenceville (5645 Butler Street) slated for Spring 2020.
