A Cup Of Coffee Worth Traveling For: Reginald’s In Bethel Park

When it comes to coffee shops in Pittsburgh, there’s usually a desire for a multitude of things: strong coffee, even stronger wifi, and maybe even aesthetically-pleasing decor to make it onto the ‘Gram. 

Well, Reginald’s Coffee in Bethel Park has that and then some. 

Opened in April 2019, owners and couple Matt and Julie started their venture stemming from passions for coffee, dogs, and old buildings; the space is in an old schoolhouse (built originally in 1905!) being restored by the Bethel Park Historical Society. The duo and their small team small-batch roast and brew coffee sourced from responsibly from farms around the world. 

Besides the space, the shop’s name also has a fun fact behind it: Reginald is the name of their dog, and he even makes an appearance in the logo. So as you can probably guess, coffee and dog meet-ups are encouraged. 

Besides great brewed coffee, the team also whips up specialty coffees and lattés, like the Sweater Weather: Cinnamon and vanilla flavors served with a homemade graham cracker on the side. 

Plus, if you’re a doughnut fan, they get doughnuts every Friday from Oram’s in Beaver Falls, and usually sell out fast… best to get there early or call ahead! Speaking from personal experience, the cinnamon roll is absolutely not to miss. 

From the staff to the coffee to the immense focus on decor and details (Julie is the design master!) Reginald’s will make you feel like home from the second you walk in.
