It’s the most wonderful time of the year for vinyl lovers: Record Store Day. This year’s celebration is Saturday, April 13, making it the 12th annual Record Store Day. Saturday will be a day to go out to support your local record stores, enjoy live music, and dig into those new, used, or exclusive vinyl. Here’s a curated list of where to spend your time around the city for a day of vinyl appreciation.
Make your way down on Carson Street in South Side because Dave’s Music Mine will be having plenty of exclusives, sales and giveaways. The shop will be stocking several RSD releases, and the first 50 customers on Saturday will receive a 12th Anniversary Record Store Day tote bag with exclusive posters and other prizes included. The shop’s biggest sale ever will happen on Saturday and Sunday, the 14th – 40% off the entire store! The sale does exclude consignment and RSD products.
In the heart of Squirrel Hill, Jerry’s Records is a goldmine for vinyl. Starting on Record Store Day, Jerry’s will have over 10,000 LPs for $1 until Saturday, April 20. Hours for Saturday are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Government Center, Pittsburgh’s newest record shop in the North Side won’t be carrying all the RSD titles this year, but a variety of rare vinyl will be placed out to celebrate this year’s celebration. Giveaways, refreshments, and live music will be going on all day as you shop around the city.
Check out the music lineup:
2 p.m. – Lindsay Dragan

Get in line now in Millvale because Attic will open up at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Attic doesn’t disappoint with deals on RSD. There will be 20% off all used vinyl and CDs, 10% off all new vinyl (except RSD releases). There will be over 400 exclusive RSD releases.
Located in the edge of the North Side, Get Hip Records will be throwing a party all day long from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The entire store will be 20% off, and live music will be going on throughout the day with The Cheats, The Chokers, and The Scratch n’ Sniffs.
