April is here, Spring is back, and so is the Frito Pie Dog at D’s Six Pax and Dogz. Yes, the weather is changing, snow is melting, birds are chirping, and D’s customers are happy to dive head first into this month’s food creation.
As a local favorite, D’s prides itself on their unique and mouth satisfying toppings that create their signature hot dogs. Toppings like mac-and-cheese and pineapples are nothing out of the ordinary at D’s, so the Frito Pie ingredients is only natural. This dish is a famous D’s beef dog on a freshly steamed poppy seed bun, topped with chili, shredded cheddar cheese, diced onions, and finally Fritos to add a crunchy taste to the hot dog. (Veggie dog options are also available).
Let’s start Spring on a good note and get your hands on a Frito Pie this month. This treat will make a great addition to any Easter basket this holiday season, (a much better option than fake grass or peeps).
We’ll be doing these pieces monthly. Check back next month to see the newest creation from D’s Six Pax and Dogz!
