Drink & Draw For Hayao Miyazaki Week

If you like the idea of alcohol & art but aren’t particularly keen on making little happy trees while sipping on Pinot wishing it was a beer, there’s an alternative option.

At 8 PM on Tuesday, December 15th Row House Cinemas, Atlas Bottle Works, and ToonSeum are teaming up to bring what could be described as sketching with a spin. The twenty dollar admission gets you a craft beer, a good view of two anime styled models, and a seat for a 9:55 showing of My Neighbor Totoro by critically acclaimed director Hayao Miyazaki.

Don’t forget to BYO Sketchpad and doodling instrument to make your large eyes, spiky hair, and exaggerated facial expressions with.

Tickets are very limited, so get them quick.

If you miss out, Row House is showing Hayao Miyazaki films from December 11th-17th. Also upcoming at Row House from December 18th-24th: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story, Bad Santa, and the greatest Christmas action film ever: Die Hard. Row House will be hosting two RiffTrax showings of everyone’s favorite Bruce Willis movie (for the uninitiated, RiffTrax is comedic commentary by the former cast of the popular television show Mystery Science Theater 3000.)

For more on events and showings at Row House, visit their website.
