In the span of 60 minutes, Canadian actor Charles Ross will take you through all the epic battles and will single-handedly portray all the memorable characters. Amani Lewis: Subjective Native and Ben Jones: Resurgence – Rise Again, September 13 – December 15., The August Wilson African American Cultural Center, 980 Liberty Avenue, Downtown. Opening Reception, Friday, September 13, 5 pm – 7 pm. Amani Lewis uses her friends and family members as the subject matter for her mixed-media portraits, while New Jersey artist Ben Jones is inspired by African spiritualism and revolutionary struggles as the basis of his large scale pieces. 3rd Annual Explore East Liberty Wine Festival, Saturday, September 14, 2 pm – 6 pm, Broad Street between Centre Avenue and North Highland Avenue. Over a dozen local wineries will provide wine samples, with food trucks selling munchies and live music by OGWS band and The Moat Rats. The $25 advance ticket ($30 at the door) gets you a wine glass, wine tote, and wine samples.

This self-guided tour will showcase eleven small farms and community gardens, such as Shiloh Farms, Duquesne Community Victory Garden and Burgh Bees Apiary. The event, coordinated by The East End Food Coop, Pittsburgh Food Policy Council and the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture,will give participants a behind the scenes look at all that is involved in growing food while being mindful of our environment.
