No plans for NYE yet, check out these local parties.

Most of you, unlike myself, are most likely looking to spend NYE out and about. Many have house parties, many hit their favorite local watering hole, and some will brave the cold and head into town for First Night

If you find yourself without plans here are three of LOCALpittsburgh’s top picks…..

or, the Whale located in Distrikt Hotel is offering two options, one of which includes an amazing 5-course meal prepared by Chef Dennis Marron and Chef Brooks Hart. If you are more interested in a cocktail party, the Evangeline Bar will offer a decadent oyster, caviar, chowder and various other food stations. Throw in a martini bar and other assorted goodies and get ready for the highlight of the night, as DJ Ples plays funky and soulful deep house/electro music and a LOCAL favorite, Beauty Slap, throws down some brass-thunder-funk.

Coffee House/ Restaurant /Cocktail Bar, The Abbey on Butler Street, is following up on last year’s masterful NYE PARTY with a SPECTACULAR SPECTACULAR party. General Admission gets you: Live Burlesque Shows, Complimentary Photo Booth, Dancing with DJ B Tru, a Balloon Drop & Champagne Toast at midnight. They are also offering a communal Moulin Rouge themed four-course prix fixe dinner with a cognac tasting in the coffeehouse, along with live jazz.

…and last, but not least, what’s looking like the “big” bash, Toast ’18. This is being put on by Creatives Drink & PA Libations, and both of these organizations know how to party. They expect to gather close to 700 people into The Pennsylvanian for this celebration. Rivertowne Brewing, Pittsburgh Winery and  Big Spring Spirits, all PA operated companies will be pouring the drinks, and snacks will be provided by Pittsburgh Smokehouse. Music will be spun by DJ Bamboo.

To set the record straight, with the exception of PA Libations, none of these businesses are advertisers, and this is not a paid endorsement, these are some local parties that we expect to be ‘“epic”. Myself, I will be flopped down on my couch in a food coma, and asleep before 2018 begins.

Please be safe, support LOCAL NYE parties and we will see you all next year.
