When you can’t decide whether to get a hot dog or wings, D’s Six Pax and Dogz brings the best of both worlds together with February’s Dog of the Month, the Bleu Buffalo. The Bleu Buffalo Dog has arrived just in time for Super Bowl season and I promise this is one recipe for victory worth stealing.
The origin of Buffalo sauce comes from the Anchor Bar in 1964, where it was served with a side of bleu cheese and celery because bar owner, Teressa Bellissimo, had those available. February’s seasonal dish at D’s takes this flavor to the next level by blending these ingredients together on a hot dog. The Blue Buffalo features a famous D’s beef dog on a freshly steamed poppy seed bun topped with chunky bleu cheese, house made mild buffalo sauce, and diced celery. (The Bleu Buffalo Dog is also available on a veggie dog as well).
Forget about the flowers and chocolates, make the Bleu Buffalo your Valentine’s Day treat for that special someone! The shortest month of the year means the fewest amount of days to get your hands on this seasonal delight, so act quickly.
We’ll be doing these pieces monthly. Check back next month to see the newest creation from D’s Six Pax and Dogz!
