The Government Center, Pittsburgh’s newest record store to host an all-day grand opening party March 23

Pittsburgh’s newest record store, The Government Center, will host its grand opening celebration on Saturday, March 23 starting at noon. Located at 519 E Ohio St. in Pittsburgh’s North Side, The Government Center will have a full day of live performances from local artists as well a DJ party later provided by PGH Record Night to allow guests to DJ for 30 minutes. Giveaways will occur all day long, including your chance to win two tickets to see Mdou Moctar at The Andy Warhol Museum

The record store is the latest addition to Deutschtown. Owner Josh Cozby provides a music environment full of an eclectic variety of new and used records. The stores emphasizes small labels and limited editions as well as international and experimental releases. Two listening stations are provided in the store, giving guests time to experience and discover music. You can find new arrivals each week, as well as a rotating stock of used records.

The grand opening celebration is hosted by Josh Cozby, owner of The Government Center and co-hosted by Misra Records and Crafted Sounds. This event is free and open to the public. Food and refreshments will be provided by Sprezzatura.
