Dennis Childers and Larry Rippel will curate a time traveling musical journey through the fall of an industrial revolution that opened a gateway to Pittsburgh becoming one of the nation’s most prolific arts communities. A multitude of photography, art, music, and films by various artists will showcase the city’s rich history of creative growth. A DJ will also be provided by Get Hip Records, a Pittsburgh record label founded in 1986 by Gregg Kostelich.
Non-Punk Pittsburgh is a free event at SPACE Gallery, 812 Liberty Avenue, Downtown. The opening reception is from 5:30-10pm April 7th, and subsequent jam sessions will take place every Friday during the exhibit, which runs until June 18.
