Fresh Fest, Saturday, Aug. 10, 12 pm – 9 pm, Nova Place, 100 S. Commons, North Shore. Fresh Fest returns after it’s successful inaugural event last year as the nation’s first black brew festival. This year, 28 black breweries will be showcased, including Cajun Fire from New Orleans, Dirtbag Ales from North Carolina, and Warcloud Brewing Company from Southern California, to name a few. 75 vendors, 15 visual artists, six musicians, four DJs and 45 collaborations with black breweries and other entrepreneurs will also be on hand. A $45 general admission ticket will get you unlimited pours of over 150 different beers and ciders, entertainment and a 5 oz. sample glass to commemorate all of that thirst quenching goodness. Non-profit, Justice for Animals will again host this popular, free vegan festival of over 35 food and beverage trucks, plus 35+ vendors and live music.
